Family Skills Camp
Looking for a fun and unique way to enjoy your family vacation
Durango Mountain Bike Camp uses Durango Mountain Resort as our base camp, and we spend 3 glorious days mountain biking in the public lands surrounding the resort. This is wildflower season for us, so be prepared to take some beautiful family photos to capture the memories.
We will teach bike handling skills, basic mechanical skills and enjoy some pristine and somewhat “secret” trails. (Translation: You may not see anyone who is not part of the camp while we are out riding.)
Ssessions will begin and end at Durango Mountain Resort.

Any combination of child and adult is welcome. Mom, Dad, Step-Mom, Foster Dad, Step-grandfather-in-law, etc. We are all family!
We will put a camp together around your travel schedule. We know families are juggling lots, we have instructors, just let us know whey you are coming.
Cost: $125 a day per person.
It is our goal for your family to laugh, ride and love every minute with us at our camp.
Lodging is available at Durango Mountain Resort starting at $119.00 a night. For a variety of additional lodging facilities, go to: www.durango.org.
Why come to Durango?
"Simply because there is no other city in the Southwest that offers as much variety and spice. Whether you’re riding the Colorado Trail, visiting the Ancestral Puebloan sites at Mesa Verde National Park, riding Overend Mountain Park (formerly “the Test Track”,) shopping downtown, cruising the many trails that have been built and maintained by Trails 2000, or simply lounging by the Animas River watching the clouds float by, Durango has it all.” --Zapata Espinoza, formerly Executive Editor, Mountain Bike magazine.
Durango Mountain Resort hosted the first ever World Mountain Bike
Championships in 1990; a World Cup in 2003; and the National
Mountain Bike Championships in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
